My name is Edward B. Pope.  My family and friends call me "B". I was born and educated in Kentucky. I went to high school at Knox Central High School in Barbourville, Kentucky and graduated from the University of Kentucky.

After spending a career in the U.S. Navy, I retired and started my own custom furniture business, which had been a hobby for many years. Upon returning to Kentucky, my wife, Ruby and I, built our own home on a beautiful thirty-five acre hilltop in Science Hill, Kentucky. 

Building custom furniture and being able to create "one of a kind" pieces was truly a satisfying occupation. However, I find that being able to turn burls and special cuts of wood into artistic designs with exceptional beauty, is one of the most fulfilling endeavors I have ever undertaken. Some of the wood used in my turnings, comes from our acreage.
